As leaked earlier, the Xiaomi Mi4c has launched with pretty similar specifications – and even more. We are excited to see all the new features and specifications in the Mi4c. Today Xiaomi has officially launched the Mi4c in Beijing, China with much powerful hardware than the earlier launched Mi4i. This is also the first Xiaomi device to feature USB Type-C port that was first seen on OnePlus 2.
To start with, Mi made an announcement on Twitter of launching the Mi4c.

The first thing you see is the variety of colours. Mi4c comes in 4 ‘Bubblegum Colours” which are calm to look at. These colours represent summer shade – being all bright and colourful. The Mi4c comes in 4 colours – Pink, White, Yellow & Blue. Looks wise the device has a slab-like design which really looks nice.
Xiaomi is onboard with the latest technology in the market. The Mi4c comes equipped with a USB Type C charger. The only phone after OnePlus 2 to offer USB Type C charging. The battery inside the Mi4c is also high-density battery – moreover it supports Quick Charging 2.0. That’s an awesome deal in my opinion.
The Mi4c is a 5-inch phone, so that it fits perfectly in your hand. The Mi4c has a 1080p LG display and a humongous 3080 mAh battery packed inside it. The fact that Mi4c has such a huge battery and also supports Quick Charging 2.0 is going to give tuff competition to other smartphones in the market.
The Mi4c is also equipped with other software features like “Double Tap to wake” – which in my opinion is a nice touch to the device. Other notable device specific features include “EdgeTap” wich takes a photo when you tap on the side of your device. The other features is basically navigates you back to the previous app or whatever you were doing previously with two gentle taps on the side on the device.
Other very useful feature in the inclusion of IR blaster in the Mi4c. This is not the regular IR blaster, it’s one of a kind – like the ones in Samsung Devices. Never need a remote again! Infrared support transforms Mi4c into a remote for your TV, air-con, DSLR camera & more. The IR sensor can support specific hardware with built-in app.
As for the specs, the Xiaomi Mi4C will feature a 5-inch 1080p display powered by the Snapdragon 808 Octa core 64bit chipset. The Mi4c will have a 13MP front facing Camera. It also supports dual sim card with 4G support for both the SIM cards
The 2GB RAM variant is priced at RMB1,299 (INR 13,500) and the 32GB variant at RMB1,499 (INR 15,500). This is a very mid-low end market and not many smartphones this many features in this price range. Stay tuned to see the Mi4c fares against it’s competition.
As rumored earlier, there will be only one million handsets available for sale that will be held on September 23rd on company’s official website.
