Philips SpeechAir Android-powered smart voice recorder Announced

Recently Philips introduced it’s SpeechAir which is a  smart voice recorder and  is based on Android Kitkat which is developed by Speech Processing Solutions. It is a 360-degree microphone which includes 3 microphones and specifically designed for ambient-sound environment.


The Philips SpeechAir looks like  a smartphone because  it includes  a 4-inch WVGA (480×800 pixel) IPS touchscreen display with 16 million colour gamut protected by Gorilla Glass .

The Philips SpeechAir  comes bundled with a desktop docking station, headphones, and power cables.

The docking station can automatically transfer all your recordings to your computer and quickly charges your device.

The Speech Processing Solutions boasts 256-bit AES encryption for the voice recordings in the SpeechAir.



  • The SpeechAir has a 4-inch (480 x 800) pixels with Corning Gorilla Glass.
  • It is Powered by a 1.6 GHz dual cortex-A9 Processor.
  • The SpeechAir has 1GB of RAM & 16GB of internal storage.
  • The SpeechAir runs on a Older version of android i.e Android Kitkat {4.4.2}.
  • It has a 5-megapixel rear camera.
  • It has a 3.5mm Audio Jack & and bluetooth 4.0 coneectivity option.
  • The SpeechAir is powered by a 2700 mAh battery.
  • It also has a Barcode Scanner.
  • WiFi 802.11 a/b/g/n.


The Philips SpeechAir will available in two versions i.e PSP1100 and PSP1200. However the Company did not talk about the pricing but it will be available soon.
