Oculus Rift System Requirements Revealed. Oculus Rift, is probably the only VR tech we have been excited for and it is finally coming out. Coming over the start of next year, the recommended specifications for Oculus Rift are as follows.
Oculus says these are the recommended specs “for the full Rift experience”:
- NVIDIA GTX 970 / AMD 290 equivalent or greater
- Intel i5-4590 equivalent or greater
- 8GB+ RAM
- Compatible HDMI 1.3 video output
- 2x USB 3.0 ports
- Windows 7 SP1 or newer
A build like this would roughly cost you about 50,000 INR. Not too shabby a cost for a rig that would be able to run full 3D immersive visuals. And Sorry console buddies, only PC Master Race for now. But seriously though it isn’t too bad, if anything it’s good news that the Oculus Rift is able to run in a rig of that price. With two displays running and 400 million pixels pushing through them with over refresh rate of 90 Hz and over, and resolution of 2160x 1200. Oculus Rift requires thrice the GPU performance of any games currently playing at 1080p.
