XperiaBlog is reporting that official Sony Mobile accounts across social media channels today inadvertently published press pictures of the yet-unannounced flagship Xperia Z5 smartphone.
Xperia Blog has shared a few press images of the Xperia Z5 that are said to have recently been published by Sony’s social media team before quickly being pulled. The images show a device that looks a bit like the Xperia Z4, but with an “Xperia” engraving on the side of the unit.
The shots also show that the device will have a 23-megapixel rear camera (Sony doesn’t publicly list a 1/2″ 23MP sensor on its sales site, so it would have to be one they haven’t announced yet.) Sony itself teased earlier this week the unveiling of a smartphone “with greater focus,” and that all would become clear on the 2nd of September.
It wouldn’t be a surprise to see the Xperia Z5 look similar to the Z4, but with small changes like the Xperia engraving shown in today’s leak. Also, the images also show a few different color options for the Xperia Z5. There’s a white phone, a gold model, and a dark turquoise version.
