Samsung Galaxy devices, you’ll notice that certain messaging and social media applications provide badges on their app icons that indicate the number of notifications you’ve received. Sometimes you don’t need them – here’s how to Disable Notification Badges On Android.
Some of you may not appreciate these indicators, but don’t worry—they’re easy enough to get rid of. You just have to know where to look. Here how to remove the badges once and forever. Just follow the simple steps and you will be good to go.
- Go to settings > Application Manager
- Go to “All” tabs
- Find and Open “BadgeProvider“
- Within the preferences select “Force Stop” and restart your device.
You’ll notice that any pre-existing app icon badges are now gone, and no new ones will show up. If you ever want to get the badges back for some reason. Just go back to the “BadgePrivider” and enable the service.
