Here’s a roundup of the week’s very best app releases and updates. We’ll be posting each Sunday after we sort through everything and select the best apps for you.Without further ado, here are this week’s AppDay Sunday to check out.

1. Motion Tennis

2. MailTime

3. FancyKey

4. Private Note

1. Motion Tennis

Motion Tennis

Motion Tennis turns your iPhone or iPod touch into the tennis racket while the grand slam tournament takes place on your television via Apple TV.Swish your hand in the air and give your wrist some exercise to score aces in this spectacular game

The first thing you need to know before purchasing this game is that you have to own an Apple TV (or have any AirPlay software installed on your Mac or Windows computer. X-Mirage is a great option) to make any good out of it. Don’t expect to start an idle match directly on your iPhone while travelling or in the bedroom, because there is no provision for an in-device display of the gameplay.

Unlike other dual screen games, AirPlay is not just an optional feature in Motion Tennis, but rather the only way of playing the game – you won’t be even able to have a glimpse of the home-screen without connecting to an Apple TV or computer via X-mirage.

Raise the iPhone above your head to serve the ball and the game starts with a smash. Of course, the automated second player will have the green ball flying back to your side. Use the device just as a bat and thrash it back in any direction or height you want.

As you would expect, your TV avatar would replicate your gestures. Fortunately, you don’t have to do any of the running up and down the court. You’ll be automatically placed at the best positions and all you have to do is decide the side and type of the shot you need to play.

This is a pretty much fun game. We were hooked up for hours playing this. Also, with the iOS 8 update which has HealthKit, the game calculates the amount of calories burned during the gameplay and records it into the Health App. Pretty neat addition. There is also two player mode where you can play as doubles. This increases the fun even more ! This game is a total bang for your buck !

Available On: iOS, Android

Price: Free, Free

2. MailTime

MailTime iOS

Have you ever tried to go back to past email conversations to find a piece of information and ended up in a never-ending loop of quoted text and clutter? People are always looking for new ways to deal with their never-ending quest for “inbox zero” that they forget how mundane it is to keep up with multiple threads of email.

MailTime helps you deal with this by turning your email conversations into an SMS-like chat conversation. They incorporate the “smooth experience of instant messaging and the universality of emails.” If you are like us who are heavy Mail users and use iMessage a lot then you’ll definitely love this app. One thing I really liked is how they will notify you if the email you’re typing is too long. Their mantra is if an email is too long, people wont read them.

The app only supports Gmail at moment and when you login, there is a “recent” and an “all mail” tab. Even if an email is archived on Gmail, it will still show up in the recent tab and that could be a little frustrating if you are trying to sort and weed out your emails.

You can simply read your email messages in “bubble chat view,” but you also retain the ability to see the original email thread. The app lets you assign to-do items to yourself or (more fun) to others and keep track of pending tasks. One thing you can’t do is save a draft of an email you are working on. If you are typing a reply and want to go back to check another email, it will erase everything you typed and you would have to start over again. Another con is the app can’t archive emails so you would need to do that through another app or on your desktop.

Being said that we love the app, there is huge space for improvement and people are looking forward to it. The app is available on iTunes and will shortly be available on Google Play

Available On: iOS

Price: Free

3. FancyKey

App FancyKey

Yes we know the state of third party keyboards is currently not so fascinating, so we try to avoid any third party keyboards suggestions, but this keyboard is too much fun. The keyboard is no way aimed with productive purposes or fast typing etc. it’s a fun keyboard for people who like to text in a different way.

Themes, Fonts, Emoji, Emoji Art, AutoCorrect in one single keyboard! Yes that’s correct, the keyboard has it’s own set of fonts to choose from and oh boy! they work so well 🙂 The keyboard also has various themes and also you can make your own theme with custom pictures 😀 As if this wasn’t enough the keyboard has a huge collection of Emoji Art and that is totally cool. All perfectly designed Artworks of emoji. Sweet !! 😀

The female counterpart particularly will enjoy using this keyboard than the male counterpart, nevertheless it’s pretty enjoyable for everyone. Do try the keyboard and tell us about your views in the comments (Using the FancyKey app) 😀

4. Private Note

Private Note

Ever felt to hide some this from people, but don’t want to put a password on your phone? Then this app is for you. Private Note provides a wonderful way to hide your notes. When someone open this App, they can only see a simple text view, and they will regard this app as a simple text editor and it works exactly like any other notes app. Actually, you can easily type password in this text view to access your real notes. As you type in your password in the text area it will open the actual notes you have saved. This way you don’t have to keep a evident password but still your stuff is password protected.
